Heartbeats
A little character I drew up and fell in love with when doing calendar Jan. Got most of him done when listening to the Triple J’s Hottest 100. I’ve found that the music I listen to when painting is just as important as the paint being applied. More than not- I have one song on repeat and each piece is somewhat a product of that beat.Acrylic on Canvas. 76.2cm x 76.2cm. Comes with pine frame.

Reel One
This painting was something I sketched down on procreate while my partner was sleeping. Usually the process before entertaining detail. An idea of things I like - Pegasus, chocolate dipped strawberries, buko (coconuts), Philippines, sun and of course our feline friend, Thomas the cat. Made the sketch into a reel. When trying to come up with new ideas for the pop up gallery, I decided to include this 30second sketch and bring it back down to basics- things that make me happy and as it turns out, it kinda slaps. Acrylic on MDF 61cm x 92cm

Wombat Warriors
A little less light- straight up the animals lost in the 2019/2020 Black Summer bushfires. There was speculation that there were ‘hero wombats’ that were courageously herding other animals to shelter in their fireproof burrows.. and whatever the truth is, I like to believe it is true.

Crackle-twos
Forster I noticed daily, just as the sky would be turning pastel hues and the water in transition between silver and blue.. three Black Cockatoos fly together north west. They’d start from south one mile and as they flew a direct line, I’d try to keep up on the roads below, navigating the streets and lights. I’m not too sure where exactly they’d end up, I assumed half way up Tuncurry beach. Makes my day to see and hear them cawing and moving as one. Acrylic on MDF 61cm x 92cm

Fun-knee
Bindi’s, mud or ants between your toes remind me of being a kid. Memories of playing with siblings, neighbours or those lone wolf adventures.. the moments that as time goes on, and the innocence fades*, we become more conscious of consequence and now… wear Dr Martens. Acrylic on MDF 61cm X 92cm

Frogs
Tongues sticking out in a froggy trance, the army of bumblebee darts collectively dance. Croaking in unison, a colourful display, in the twilight hours they come out to play. Jumping and leaping, a sight to behold. Their purple and yellow hues, a story to unfold. Acrylic on MDF 61cm x 92cm.

Thomas the Cat
As legend has it, he followed us home one starry night and didn’t want to leave. Further investigation, he had been abandoned and there our adventure began. A dude that separated his jelly from his biscuits, preferred to stare at the walls instead of palm trees, king of the bees and a friend I’ll cherish a life time. Acrylic on MDF 61cm x 92cm
